It's time to let you in on the secrets of happiness. We are all on our unique journey of life and you’re here for a reason. Happiness comes and goes as it pleases, but there are patterns we can identify to hold the feeling as long as possible.
Happiness is.
That is a full sentence, no more no less. Happiness just is happiness. There is no chasing, no seeking, finding, wanting or looking for happiness. That is actually where all the unhappiness and disappointment shows up. There is happiness right now in your life, look around. Let’s begin with the first steps:
1. The first step to happiness is understanding that you already have it inside you.
2. The second is to appreciate everything you already have that makes you happy.
It's time to get out your Gratitude Journal! Make a list of everything you’re thankful for, take the time to jot down a few things down. This is your ongoing Happy List! These can be very small or very big items, whatever brings a smile to your face. On my list I have: sushi, hot showers, sunsets, sand between my toes, smell of fresh cut grass, and dancing to my favorite songs. Your Happy List will continue to grow and change over time.
If a Gratitude Journal drives you crazy and you just plain don’t like it, than do what you already like to do: paint your list, draw it, type it, add to your phone notes, or do a vision board. We are doing this for two reasons:
